What is Gadget Insurance?
Gadget Insurance is an efficient and cost effective way to insure your essential
gadgets and portable electronic equipment.
Worldwide cover is provided for accidental damage, malicious damage, theft
or theft damage occurring to your gadgets that you have registered with
us for this insurance. At our discretion we will repair or replace your
covered gadgets. There are three cover options available, Standard, Standard
Plus and Premier Plus. Please refer to the policy document for full details.

Cover is provided for theft, accidental damage, malicious damage or theft
damage. Please refer to the policy document for full details.

What Gadgets does this insurance
cover?
Gadgets that can be covered under this insurance are Mobile phones, Smartphones
(including i-Phones and blackberries), iPods/ MP3 players, iPads/ tablets,
e-readers, Satnav systems, net books, laptops, digital cameras and hand-held
games consoles.

Cover is provided for up to five gadgets.

What is the per Gadget limit?
If you have selected our Standard option or our Standard Plus option,
no one gadget can exceed €500 in value. If you have selected our Premier
Plus option, no one gadget can exceed €1,000 in value. Please refer to

for Gadget Cover?
If you have selected our Standard option or our Standard Plus option,
the policy limit is €500. If you have selected our Premier Plus option,

What value should I insure
my Gadgets for?
You should insure your gadget for the original purchase price of the item.

Does this policy only cover
new Gadgets?
No, gadgets do not have to be new for cover to apply, however gadgets
must not be older than 3 years old at the time of registration and they
must be in full working order. Gadgets must have been purchased from a
legitimate retailer when new. Please refer to the policy document for

What information do I need
to register my Gadget for insurance?
You need the following information:
1 Your name and address (including post code if applicable);
2 The make, model, serial numbers and age of the covered product(s) you
wish to cover;
3 MEI number of any mobile phone/smartphone; and
4 The date of purchase (or contract commencement date in respect of mobile
phones)
5 The purchase price of the item

Does the policy cover my
Gadgets when outside Ireland?
Yes. This policy provides worldwide cover for your insured gadgets excluding
the following countries; Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Congo, Iran, Iraq,
Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Liberia, North Korea, Myanmar, Sudan, Syria, The
Balkans or Zimbabwe.

What other benefits does
Gadget Insurance provide?
Depending on what option you have selected cover can be provided for Personal
Accident, Identity Theft and ATM Assault. Please refer to the policy document
for full details.

How long does cover on
my policy last for?
The insurance commences from the date of payment of the requested premium
and lasts for 12 months from that start date or any different period of
insurance stated on your schedule.
NOTE: If you claim for one or more Gadgets and the total claim cost
reaches the
policy limit, then all cover under the policy will cease with no refund.
You will need to purchase a new policy to continue coverage. Each
time you claim for a covered product this will reduce your remaining
policy limit by the amount that the claim cost us either to repair
or replace that covered product. |

What is the age limit for buying Gadget Insurance?
You must be over 18 to purchase gadget insurance. If you are under 18 and have
inadvertently purchased this policy, you should contact us to request a refund or request
your parent or guardian to register the policy in their name.

What is a Policy Excess?
A policy excess is the amount you must pay before we pay any claim under this policy.

What is the Policy Excess amount for Gadget Insurance?
An excess of €25 applies to each claim.

If my Gadget is stolen from my car, am I covered?
Gadgets are not covered if stolen from or in a motor vehicle unless the gadget is locked in
a glove box or out of sight in a boot/luggage area.

What if I lose my Gadget, it is covered?
No, loss of gadgets is not covered.

What payment options are available to me?
You can pay for your insurance by debit or credit card.

How do I add a new Gadget to my policy?
You must advise us of any changes you need to make to your policy by contacting us so
that we may register your gadgets under your policy. Your policy only covers you for
gadgets registered with us.

Your policy number can be found on your policy schedule.

How do I make a claim?
If your gadget is accidentally damaged or stolen, you should report your claim within 24
hours of discovery of the incident by you on 1800 303 438. If you are overseas when the
accidental damage or theft occurs then you must report the incident within 48 hours
following your return to the Republic of Ireland. Please refer to the policy document for full
